Faith in Public Life Series:
There's a large
progressive network organizing around the United States, seeking to
protect access to abortion and push same-sex marriage. This
would be politics as usual except that
this network includes hundreds of Catholic organizations, dissident
Call to Action
chapters, and Alinskyian faith-based organizations. It's a
sophisticated and potent, proactive force seeking to diffuse the
Catholic voice in the 2008 elections – and more significantly, to
confuse American Catholics about Church teaching.
